Hillel Internships

All internships require the following documents to be uploaded during the application process:

  • Cover Letter

  • Resume

  • Unofficial Transcript (proof of student status and GPA)

If you do not have a cover letter or resume, you can reach out to your school’s Career Services department for assistance in writing either of them. Other help can be found here for cover letters or here for resumes. Google searching these topics will also give you a million other resources!

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be kept on file if a position is not available. We will only accept complete applications. Potential Interns will be required to take part in a Zoom interview with the Hillel Director, community committee members, and other Jewish Nevada staff members.

Engagement Internship

The engagement internship is a peer engagement program built on Hillel’s foundation of relationship-based engagement methodology. The key goals of the internship are:

  • To equip Jewish students with the skills, passion, and drive to engage other previously-unengaged Jewish students on their campuses.

  • To provide an opportunity for Jewish students to engage in meaningful discussion and learning that contributes to their understanding of self, community, and Jewish traditions and values.

  • To expand our Hillel’s reach to the edges of Jewish life, connecting students who might otherwise remain unengaged or uninvolved, to Jewish life and Jewish community.

This internship role will be “full-time” and require a minimum 8-10 hour weekly commitment to the program and take part in weekly 1-2 hour learning sessions with the Hillel director to guide your internship. Students who identify as Jewish we be given priority consideration.

This internship is eligible for a total stipend of $1000. Bonuses available if certain milestones are met throughout the internship!

 

Campus outreach Internship

The role of Campus Outreach Intern will be to assist in building up our presence on our other campus: College of Southern Nevada, Nevada State College, and Touro Henderson. This role will require you to meet with other student leaders to learn more about their campus and connect with them in order to promote Hillel Las Vegas programming. The ultimate goal of this internship is to help build the local college Jewish student community and provide them with information about and participating in Hillel Las Vegas’ programming. This role may also require you to help plan and execute community/campus outreach programs.

This internship role will “part-time” and require a minimum 4-hour weekly commitment to the program and take part in weekly 1-2 hour learning sessions with the Hillel director to guide your internship. Students who identify as Jewish and non-Jewish are encouraged to apply for this unique opportunity!

This internship is eligible for a total stipend of $650. Additional bonuses may be available if certain goals or milestones are reached throughout the internship.
